Apex Polymer Trigger Kit M&P 9/40
The Apex Tactical Polymer Action Enhancement Trigger for Smith and Wesson M&P Gen 1 handguns is an easy drop in upgrade to make that greatly improves the feel of the trigger over the factory trigger. A main complaint of the factory trigger is the safety mechanism that requires you to only put your finger on the bottom half which can result in unreliable activation and an uncomfortable finger position for some shooters. This Apex Polymer M&P trigger fixes that problem by using a center mounted pivoting safety lever that is common on most other striker fired pistols and features a smooth face that is much more comfortable to use. It also helps to reduce the pre-and over-travel by approximately 20% for a more responsive feel. This trigger is only compatible with original model M&P handguns and can be used with the Duty/Carry Enhancement Kit or just the standard factory internals.
The Included Apex Duty/Carry trigger kit is designed to give you a smoother and more consistent trigger pull at around 5-5.5 lbs.—great for every day carry. Additionally, this kit helps to reduce the trigger reset allowing for a more premium feel. All the components work together to bring you a reliable and consistent trigger optimal for every day carry.

You may need to make an adjustment to the trigger bar loop for proper function. If you should need to tune your trigger bar, please follow the instructions on the Trigger Bar Loop Adjustment Video on the Apex Tactical website. This kit requires the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring and plunger set up. If your M&P has a 1/16th inch diameter sear plunger and spring, upgrading to a new style sear housing block before installing this product is advised. All function and reliability testing were done with a 1/8 inch sear plunger and spring, therefore proper function cannot be guaranteed without the appropriate size sear plunger and spring.
